What is SEINT? You’ve seen the hype on Instagram and Facebook. The chatter that Maskcara has re-branded as SEINT. But what does that mean?
SEINT is a makeup and beauty company formerly known as Maskcara Beauty. Maskcara Beauty exploded onto the scene when a beauty blogger and makeup artist developed a line of creme foundation that was totally different than anything on the market. As the company has grown, the founder felt it was time to update the mission statement and brand to reflect the values of the company and the Artists that represent the products.
The new mission statement of SEINT literally gives me chills, and resonates with me SO MUCH as an Artist.
Mission Statement
Beauty connects us.
It transcends time and knows no boundaries.
Seeking, experiencing, and cultivating beauty in ourselves and the world around us is a sacred work.
And that work—our work—is beautiful.
We see beauty in every face.
Our mission is to preserve and nurture it.
Everything we do and everything we create is based on what we believe in:
That beauty matters.
That helping others look beautiful is nice,
But helping them believe they are beautiful is life changing.
Beauty is not our creation;
Beauty is our passion.
Why did Maskcara change their name to SEINT?
One of the main reasons is that the name Maskcara is based on the name of the founder of the company- Cara. As the company has grown and changed, we are no longer based around one woman, but the thousands of Artists that represent the brand, as well as the customers we have reached all over the world. Cara felt like it was time that the company had a name that fit in with the larger purpose. Also, our IIID Foundation is SO natural and looks like a second skin, so “mask” wasn’t a word that represented the product.
“Maskcara Beauty will always be a beloved part of our story. As the brand has grown, we have seen some issues with the name Maskcara; that the story of Cara’s blog gets lost, that we don’t actually sell mascara, that we don’t believe that makeup is a “mask,” and perhaps most importantly that this isn’t just Cara’s story. We wanted a name that Artists particularly could connect to and feel a sense of ownership of. Recognizing and enhancing the beauty that already exists in every face has always been our inspiration, so we are changing our name to better reflect our mission.”
How is SEINT different from other makeup?
SEINT an affordable makeup that is quick and easy to apply, even if you have no makeup experience! We are all used to the old the idea that we put one flat color over our entire face, and then add layers of color over that. SEINT IIID Foundation is a sheer creme makeup that is applied in strategic spots in ONE layer- much like a paint by number! Since your face isn’t one dimensional, your makeup shouldn’t be either!
SEINT is designed to be easy and FAST. I’m talking 5 minutes fast. All of the makeup for your whole face can fit in one compact, and each color is purchased separately. When you run out of one thing, you just replace that one tin. No more purchasing whole palettes for just one or two colors. Each tin is magnetic, so your SEINT makeup just pops in the compact and stays put until you replace it!
Is SEINT different from Maskcara Beauty?
Most of the products will remain the same. However some names will change, and the packaging will reflect the new branding which is SO. INCREDIBLY. GORGEOUS.
