This post is all about Seint Makeup for Oily Skin.
Seint makeup is great for people with oily skin! With a few tip and tricks, you can wear Seint and even improve your oily skin. Having oily skin can be a major challenge when it comes to finding the right skincare and makeup products. In addition, many of the traditional makeup products marketed for oily skin can actually make the problem worse! In this blog post, we’ll take a closer look at what makes Seint so great for people with oily skin types!
What is Oily Skin?
Oily skin is characterized by excess oil production and a shiny complexion. This can lead to the appearance of enlarged pores, as well as blemishes and acne breakouts. Those with oily skin often struggle to find skincare products that won’t add to the problem of excessive shine, while still providing adequate hydration and nourishment.
You know you have oily skin if your complexion is often shiny, with enlarged pores. Your skin may also be prone to blemishes and breakouts due to the excess oil production. You might find that your makeup wears off after just a few hours or even minutes! You might also have oily skin year round, or notice that your skin gets more oily in the summer months.
How to use Seint Beauty for Oily Skin:
Prep!
Seint makeup is famous for the “Seint Glow,” but you don’t want that glow to come from your oily face!
The key to any makeup application with oily skin is PRIMER! Primers work to reduce the appearance of large pores, absorb oils and create a smooth surface so that your makeup lasts longer by preventing it from slipping or melting away due to excess oil.
- Before you apply Seint 3D foundation, make sure your face is clean and dry. If you have truly oily skin, skip the moisturizer
- Use a silicone free primer. Seint Beauty’s SETTING SPRAY can be used as a primer or setting spray to help provide long-lasting makeup coverage for oily skin. Before or after applying your Seint 3D Foundation, spray a few mists of the SETTING SPRAY onto your face and allow it to dry. Spray it in an X pattern, then a T pattern- this helps to make sure it is evenly applied and you don’t miss any spots!

Apply!
- When you apply your Seint makeup, remember that a little goes a long way. The foundation is super concentrated and highly pigmented, which means that you don’t need to use a lot to achieve full coverage. Start with a small amount of product and build up to the desired level of coverage.
- My favorite brush for oily skin is the BLUSH + BRONZER Brush. The smaller end is perfect for applying the perfect amount of foundation and blush, and the larger end is the best for bronzer and buffing/blending your makeup to perfection!
- For oily skin, I do recommend a LITTLE bit of powder to set your look. The key here is to only press a small amount of powder over your trouble spots. If you swoosh a ton of loose powder over your whole face, you will not only look matte and dry, but thick layers of powder don’t play nice with sheer cream foundations. Use the POWDER Brush or PERFECTOR to PRESS either a pressed powder like VANILLA DUST or a loose powder like AIRSPUN onto your most oily spots. (Do this as your final step- AFTER using your setting spray mentioned above.)
Is Seint makeup good for oily skin?
You may think that because Seint 3D foundation is a cream, it won’t work for oily skin. The opposite is actually true! Here’s why…
When you use a powder or liquid foundation, they absorb into and dry on your skin, causing your skin to produce more oil. When you use a hydrating cream makeup like Seint’s 3D foundation, your skin will eventually begin to produce less oil, since it is moisturized and not being dried to a crisp!
You probably already know this, but the WORST thing you can do for oily skin is try to dry it out! This is because if you give your skin hydration, it will not need to produce as much oil! This holds true for your foundation- give your skin nourishment, and then it will produce a balanced amount of oil over time.
Give Seint 3D foundation at least 2-3 weeks for your skin to adjust. You might find that your skin still feels oily at first, but most of my customers are shocked at about the two week mark when all of a sudden their skin feels LESS oily!
Oily Skin Tips
If you find that your foundation needs a touchup throughout the day, you can press in a tiny bit more powder. Since all Seint makeup fits in one palette, you can have your tin of VANILLA DUST pressed powder right along the rest of your products.
My other favorite option is to use blotting sheets like Seint’s SHINE PAPER.
